The McLaren 620R increases to 711 horsepower thanks to Novitec
The trainer offers three different engine kits to boost the performance of the 3.8 twin-turbo V8.
The McLaren 620R is the road-approved version of the McLaren 570S GT4. This is a limited version of only 225 units and absolutely insane performance since its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 develops 620 horsepower and 620 Nm. This block is combined with a seven-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox box that allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach 322 km/h at top speed.
Except that obviously, for Novitec, it wasn't enough yet. Indeed, the trainer has just unveiled three different engine kits to boost the performance of the V8 which thus increases to 711 horsepower and 710 Nm. The 0 to 100 km/h goes to 2.8 seconds, the 0 to 200 km/h to 5.0 seconds and the maximum speed is increased to 328 km/h.
This kit brings an additional 91 horsepower and 90 Nm to the car with the Novitec N-Tronic module and the Inconel Novitec Race exhaust line. The suspension has also been recalibred to lower its centre of gravity by 25 millimetres. The car also has a body kit made of exposed carbon fiber for central air intake and side skirts, and carbon/composite material for exterior mirror shells.
What would a preparation be without the rims that go with it? Novitec offers a set of 20- and 21-inch Novitec MC3 rims made by Vossen. They are surrounded by tyre 245/30 ZR 20 and 315/30 ZR. Novitec did not specify the price of its preparation, but it will be added to that of the car, namely about 300,000 euros.
