A round-up of this magnificent property!
A villa made with local raw materials
The architectural agency Nomo Studio is renowned for its well thought out and very ambitious projects. The Stone House is proof of this! To stand out, the agency has relied on a unique project, unheard of, to build a home with local raw materials.
It is on the island of Menorca in the Balearic Islands that professionals have chosen to install this magnificent villa. Located on a rocky slope where vegetation extends towards the shore, this luxury house blends perfectly into the natural and pure environment that surrounds it. The construction was carried out in the same way and with the same material as the old limestone walls ubiquitous on the island. Thus, the natural atmosphere of the region has not been distorted because the house fits harmoniously in this natural picture.
Always in order not to harm the entire natural setting, the architectural agency has opted for a minimalist design and clean lines. This simplicity gives the villa refinement, elegance and a successful Mediterranean style. Natural materials have been favoured in this unique and original construction. Indeed, sand-coloured concrete gently decorates the floor, whitewashed wooden beams give the villa character. On the carpentry side, the agency chose pine. The whole gives off a warm and friendly atmosphere inviting you to rest. Wooden shutters and solid white walls give charm to the limestone exteriors, even extracted from the site where this luxury property is nestled.
At Stone House, the concept lies in the composition of the façade and the materials used to design this house," explained Karl Johan Nyqvist.
Its exterior design pays homage to the architectural codes of the region. The shapes are symmetrical and no detail has been left to chance.
Comfort and luxury are key words in this haven of peace
Besides the paradise corner that easily appeals to nature lovers, you will also be surprised as soon as you set foot in the villa. Always in a clean and minimalist décor, natural light floods the interiors. It easily enters the villa thanks to its beautiful glass façade. The porch of almost 100 square meters embellishes the whole. The white walls bring a touch of freshness to the home. The six bedrooms of this magnificent property promise the optimum comfort. The occupants will swim in luxury without moderation. The kitchen has several closets and the large bay window allows light to circulate without difficulty. Everything seems to invite total relaxation in this limestone villa. Away from the sounds of the city, in the middle, nature, the perfect environment to relax and get away from stress.
The large terrace allows the occupants to admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape without any limits. What could be more pleasant than to be able to contemplate the ocean and the greenery of the hill under a blue sky? Or watch the sunset and recharge under the starry sky?
