Porsche Macan: new version restyled and more aggressive

Porsche has just presented the new version of the Macan, a newer and more aggressive version, in Shanghai (China).

Seen from the outside, little difference with the current version, except that a new strip of taillights highlights the name of the brand. Porsche still announces a more sporty version than its predecessor, with its active all-wheel-drive Porsche Traction Management (PTM), which offers greater traction and more cornering. Optionally, it will even be possible to integrate a sport exhaust system.

The new Macan also gains comfort, thanks to its active suspension (PASM) which continuously regulates the damping for each wheel. Raised sports seats also contribute to this feeling of comfort. Always on board, the Macan has a new screen, larger (11 inches against 7 currently), allowing easy access to various functions and information about the car and an online navigation system. As an option, music lovers can enjoy Bose or Burmester surround sound systems. Finally, for a better quality of air inside the vehicle, an ionizer will also be proposed in an optional way.

The Macan has already sold more than 350,000 units since its launch in 2014, making it the best seller of the brand. Note that Porsche has still not announced a hybrid version of its SUV, yet eagerly awaited.

In the end, not many significant developments are noteworthy for the Macan, which will be discovered at the next World Motor Show, from October 4 to 14, 2018 in Paris.
