McLaren 720S Spider: the convertible version of the 720S supercar
British manufacturer McLaren presents the convertible version of its 720S supercar. The new 720S Spider features a 720 hp engine and the fastest removable roof to be lowered and raised in its class.
Its carbon fiber structure and new retractable hard top weigh 1,332 kg for this new convertible, the lightest in its class.
Another performance of choice, its patented carbon fiber roof can be lowered or raised in just 11 seconds, again an unequaled performance. The combination of electric motors, robustness and lightness of the roof allow the vehicle to reach a maximum speed of 50 km / h during its operation, much more so than the 30 km / h of the 650S. Note that in option it is possible to choose a retractable hardtop glazed to allow even more light to enter the cabin, which remains otherwise unchanged compared to that of the 720S Coupé.
Under the hood, its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 develops 720 hp with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds (the same as the 720S Coupé) and a top speed of 341 km / hr. h (325 km / h in open roof).
The new 720S Spider is already available to order in France from 282,500 euros for first deliveries in March 2019
