About the Ferrari Monza SP1/ Monza SP2

Ferrari plans to introduce a series of limited production cars under the project name called Icona. With this, they have started it already with the Ferrari Monza SP1 and Monza SP2. It is an open-top speedster that explores the future of design, engineering, and technology while being influenced by past iconic cars (hence the project name, Icona). The Ferrari Monza SP1 is a single-seater speedster while the Monza SP2 is a two-seater speedster. Both cars feature sleek design, aerodynamic forms, and fluidic lines. They are not equipped with standard windshields, but rather small wind deflectors, being called by Ferrari as virtual windshield, that is specially designed to deflect winds away from the driver's (and passenger's) face at high speeds. Since they're speedsters, they incorporated a stylish and aerodynamic rollbar just behind the driver and passenger.

The Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 are equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine that is capable of producing 806 horsepower. The engine is located in the front of the car, and the hood opens in a stylish front-hinged clamshell setup.

The interior of the Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 is very limited. For the Monza SP1, there is no passenger beside the driver seat. All controls are designed towards the driver. Even though the car is a speedster, it is still upholstered in leather. The steering wheel features some carbon fiber works and the LED rev indicator. Steering wheel integrated controls and buttons also keeps driving more focused, just like in Formula One. For the Monza SP2, everything is the same. Just add a passenger seat. Unlike other conventional open-top roadsters or speedsters, the driver and passenger compartment are separated by a central bridge, but it's open below, allowing you to reach to the other side of the cabin.

The Ferrari Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 are truly iconic in its own sense. It has translated the past iconic cars very well into the present day with their beautiful design interpretation. And not to mention, it is also a luxury car, for it is built for a purpose. It's not as practical as other Ferrari cars, but the exquisite experience it can give you cannot be compared to other regular sports cars.
