About the Enzo Ferrari
The Enzo Ferrari was the flagship model of the Italian luxury brand during the early 2000s. It was named after its founder. Many people mistakenly refer to the car as Ferrari Enzo, but the official way fo referring to it is Enzo Ferrari. It was developed using the technologies gathered from Formula 1. 7-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher helped with the development of the car, and it was at the peak of his dominance in Formula 1, driving for Ferrari, when Ferrari unveiled the supercar. It was also featured in the movie Charlie's Angels, wherein the story goes as that the car was borrowed for filming the same day it has to be unveiled.
The Enzo Ferrari is a mid-engined rear-wheel drive supercar. It is powered by a 6-liter V12 engine capable of producing 651 horsepower. The engine is longitudinally-mounted and can be seen through the rear engine cover. It is mated to a 6-speed 'F1' electrohydraulic manual transmission. The Enzo Ferrari is so focused on performance and speed that it doesn't feature any power windows or audio system. The windows are manually cranked to be opened or closed. Majority of the components of the car made use of carbon fiber extensively.
The interior lacks the modern-day technology because it's main focus is the minimum weight. Adding unnecessary features when running fast would compromise the performance of the Enzo, therefore Ferrari decided not to include any extra features like the audio system and power windows. The interior sits on a carbon fiber tub. The seats are upholstered in leather, but the interior features a lot of carbon fiber finish, making it as light as possible. The steering wheel is fitted with LEDs to indicate the ideal time to shift gears. It is also made out of carbon fiber and behind the wheel are the paddle shifters. The steering wheel contains most of the functions normally found on the stalks, marking this car as Ferrari's first car to feature the integrated buttons on the steering wheel.
The Enzo Ferrari is truly a remarkable supercar ever made by Ferrari, and this pays well respect to its founder. Inspired by Formula 1 with inputs from one of the best Formula 1 driver makes this car very special. Luxury is not defined as comfort for this car, but rather the luxury of speed and performance.
